Overview
WristSkill is a wrist proprioception assessment and training app developed by a Certified Hand Therapist. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
In short: everything you do in WristSkill stays on your device. WristSkill does not collect personally identifiable health information. The app is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or medical advice.
Information We Collect
Information stored on your device only
The following information is generated by your use of the app and saved only on your iPhone. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Whether you have accepted the WristSkill disclaimer (a single yes/no flag).
- Your selected mode (Guest Mode or My Profile Mode).
- Your selected hand (Right or Left).
- Performance Mode session results, including targets hit per segment, average time to target, and path efficiency.
- Your locked baseline session per hand (if you choose to save one).
- A rolling history of your ten most recent sessions per hand (if you use My Profile Mode).
- Whether you have dismissed any in-app update notices.
This information is stored using your device's standard application data storage (PlayerPrefs and local JSON files inside the app's sandboxed container). If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
In Guest Mode, the app runs the assessment without saving any session data.
Anonymous app analytics
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics solely to record anonymous app-open events and crash diagnostics. This service is provided by Google and helps the developer understand basic usage patterns (such as how many launches happen, on which iOS version, on which device model).
The analytics data Firebase collects does not include your name, your email address, your assessment results, your wrist range of motion, or any health-related metric from your sessions. Firebase's collection is governed by Google's own privacy policy, which is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You may disable analytics collection in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or by uninstalling the app.
Information we do NOT collect
WristSkill does not collect, transmit, or sell:
- Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any other contact information.
- Your medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, or any other protected health information.
- Photographs, videos, microphone recordings, contacts, or device location.
- Any unique identifier that links your sessions back to you personally.
How the Information Is Used
The on-device data is used exclusively to:
- Show you your Performance Mode history and progress trends.
- Compare your current session against your locked baseline.
- Remember your disclaimer acknowledgment so you do not see it on every launch.
The Firebase Analytics data is used exclusively to:
- Understand approximate app usage volume.
- Detect crashes so the developer can fix them.
How the Information Is Shared
The on-device data is never shared. It does not leave your phone.
Anonymous analytics data is shared only with Google as part of the Firebase Analytics service.
The developer does not sell, rent, or trade any data.
Children's Privacy
WristSkill is intended for clinicians, hand therapists, and adult patients recovering from wrist injury or surgery. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
Data Retention and Deletion
All on-device data persists until you delete it. You can clear all WristSkill data by:
- Using the Reset Data option inside the Progress Scene of the app, OR
- Deleting WristSkill from your iPhone (iOS will remove all local app data).
Firebase Analytics retains anonymous event data per Google's standard retention policy.
Security
All session data is stored inside the app's iOS sandbox container, which is encrypted at the operating-system level whenever your device is locked with a passcode or Face ID. The developer never has access to this data.
Your Rights
Because WristSkill does not collect personally identifying information at the application level, there is no personal record for the developer to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. All data control rests with you on your device.

WristSkill is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and does not provide medical advice. Performance data generated by the app reflects task-based movement activity only and should not be used as a substitute for professional clinical evaluation or treatment planning. Use of this app does not establish a provider-patient relationship with the developer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at the URL listed in the App Store metadata for WristSkill. The "Effective Date" at the top of this document indicates when it was last revised.
